After a fast and furious final week 500 miles of pavement passed beneath my tires. I've only 3 flats this entire trip! The ride from Oregon to San Francisco, down Hwy 101 and Hwy. 1 on the coast has been my favorite leg of the journey. The ocean on one side, the 350ft redwoods blocking out the sun and masking the constant up and down of the coast on the other. Almost getting attacked by something that went GROWL in the night because I slept next to a river. Finding good people all over. Stealth camping anywhere that I wouldn't get hassled... I found that For Sale houses are the best, but we did stay in a shed at a lowes one night in Oregon. I've seen deer, rabbits, frogs, fish, elk, bald eagles, whales, crabs and jelly fish...this has been an eclectic tour. The best feeling though came on the last day when I was in Sausalito, marin county, climbing a steep hill and then it opened up to the left and I saw the bay, the glimmering lights and the golden gate
bridge off in the distance!!! I howled with exuberance at the full moon and Dinged my bell with all my might... At last after 6 weeks and nearly 3000 miles here is my payoff. It's been a great adventure, now I bid you to go find yours.
Cheers!!!
